Anya Katsevman has starred in the touring shows of Dancing with the Stars and Burn the Floor, she has performed for U.S. President Barack Obama and performed with El Gran Combo at Madison Square Gardens.
Anya is an undefeated 2 time World Salsa Champion On2. Luis Santiago has been World Rising Star Salsa Champion, and is a member of the current World Salsa Team finalists. Luis and Anya travel the world as performers, judges and coaches to many of today's top competitors.
Edwin Rivera has traveled to every single continent in the world for his performing, teaching and unique choreography skills. Edwin of Puerto Rican origin, was born & raised in the Bronx, New York. Now residing in Los Angeles, Edwin has been featured on popular South American television show Let’s dance, Rojo Fama Contrafama. He starred as Roberto Roena/Cheetah Solo Dancer in the movie El Cantante with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. Edwin was honoured at the 2008 Los Angeles International Salsa Congress for his contributions to the Salsa Community around the world. He is currently working feature films as a recording artist and producer, and is creative director of the New York Salsa Congress and Los Angeles Salsa Festival!
With over 35 years as a professional in the Entertainment industry, Katie Marlow’s many notable achievements highlight her wide spectrum of skills: Performer, Choreographer, Producer, Competitor, Innovator, and Coach.
Today, Katie is best recognized as the Co-Director of the World Salsa Summit, along with long time partners Billy Fajardo and Nelson Flores. Now entering its 8th year, it is widely considered the most prestigious Salsa and Bachata Championship in the world. From its infancy in 2004, Katie was instrumental in the development of the current competitive Salsa dance circuit. She was key in the designing of rules, regulations and the judging system for the original World Salsa Championships that were aired on ESPN. A judging system which has become the standard by which the most prestigious International Salsa competitions are judged today.
Katie is perhaps even better known as the fairer half of the Dance Team “Katie Marlow & Billy Fajardo”. World renowned for their spectacular performances, it was during the years of their competitive career that Katie and Billy earned an impressive list of titles, including, IDO World Cabaret Exhibition Champions, IDO World Disco-Hustle Champions, US Open Cabaret Champions, and many more. As four time invitees to the Blackpool Dance Festival for Cabaret Exhibition - an honor reserved for only 6-7 couples worldwide each year - their status at the highest echelons of dance is unquestioned. Without reservation, the health of the Salsa community, the state of the Competitive Salsa scene - risen to include polished performances highlighting spectacular lifts and tricks - is due in large part to the trends inspired by Katie and Billy.
Today, Katie continues to produce world class shows, and to nurture up and coming talent in the many genres of dance, both through her recently launched production company, Kate Marlow Productions, and at the private studio in Florida, FaMa Studios, operated in conjunction with Billy. With her partners, Katie is excitedly preparing for the 20th Anniversary of the IHSC event, again taking place on Fort Lauderdale Beach, in June 2019.
Jennifer Aucoin is a full-time salsa instructor, choreographer and event organizer. She is the founder and director of STEPS Dance Studio in Toronto and has taught workshops in Puerto Rico, Europe, South America, the U.S. and Canada. Jennifer is the founder and producer of the annual Canada Salsa Congress, the largest and longest running salsa congress in Canada, as well as the organizer of the Canadian Salsa Championships. Jennifer has judged world championships and elite competitions in Puerto Rico, New York, Ecuador, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, Detroit, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Toronto.
Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia J.J. Villar had several career changes before breaking into the entertainment Industry. Villar has traveled the world as a dancer / choreographer / director performing with some of the most amazing artists to date. With credits such as Latin Super Star, Pilar Montenegro, Disco Queen Gloria Gaynor, Reggae Pop Artist Triniti, Hip Hop Superstar Pras from the Fugees, young sensation Colby O’Donis of Konvict music, R&B sensation Toni Braxton, Taylor Dane and Sheila E to name a few. His talent and drive has allowed him to be a part of numerous music videos, industrials, tours, films, stage shows, and commercials.
In 2004, Villar began teaching at the world famous studio, Millennium Dance Complex. JJ traveled all over the United States, Europe, and Japan teaching masterclasses and workshops in all different genres of dance. Villar served as dance captain for the Toni Braxton show at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.
He worked to help Direct and Choreograph the world famous X Burlesque show at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. JJ also consulted for different shows including “Burlesque The Show”.
6 years ago, JJ had reached one of his life long dreams as a performer when he booked one of the biggest performing role of his career. It has always been a dream for JJ to dance with the biggest legend in music and now you can find him on stage dancing in, The Michael Jackson ONE show by Cirque Du Soleil. Shortly after he received a performing contract he was offered a coaching and choreographer contract for his specialty skill as the flag coach for the show. Although Cirque takes up most of his time, JJ still finds time to choreograph stage shows and productions such as the 2014 American Billboard Awards for Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, The Temptations, Boyz II Men, Pointer Sisters, and the 4 Top. With credits like Dancing With The Stars, Miss USA, The Ellen Degeneres Show and many others, JJ has had a successful career of over 20 years in the business.
Crossing over from the mainstream industry to the Latin world, JJ Villar has created a team of industry professionals along with his own flare to social dance called Latin Street Fusion, fusing the Latin Dance and Street Dance together in his own way. With headlining events like the Las Vegas Salsa & Bachata Super Congress, Los Angeles Salsa Festival, Aventura Dance Cruise, JJ Villar is quickly making a name for himself in the Latin world. His unique style and flavor combines lead and follow elements with different forms of street dance to create a unique style and offer something different to dance enthusiasts.

After acquiring two world champion titles in Bachata, two vice-champion titles in Salsa and several national champion titles as an amateur dancer, Julie-Anne turned professional in March 2014. She is now considered one of the most influential female dancers and instructors in the National Capital Region and is travelling around Canada and the United States to teach, compete and perform. Julie-Anne has a distinguished and elegant dance style. Her love and passion for dancing is reflected in everything she does. Her goal is to provide her students all the necessary tools and technics to empower them and allow them to become the best dancers they can be. For Julie-Anne, dancing is a therapy which allows to learn more about yourself and to open yourself to others.
